Idolatry, the Sepulchre and the Mindset

Image
Idolatry, the Sepulchre  and the Mindset by Ayo Sobule - Ayo Sobule  Idolatry can be described as submitting to the control of anything outside God. It is a form of worship(reverence) of things that are created by God. In Ex 20:3-5, God specifically instructed the israelites not to engage in any form of idolatry because He is  jealous and would not give whatever is given belongs to Him to anything that doesn't be bring dishonor to Him. This implies that as sons of God, we should not engage in any form of serving or submitting to the control of anything outside God. Be it money(mammon), fame, jewelries, appearances, etc, we should not be carried away to the extent that we can't do without them. A form of idolatry that is common nowadays is the love of money; we are too money conscious that we shun anything that is of God or spiritual just to bring uphold money.  Apostle Paul told Timothy in 1 Timothy 6:10;For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while som...

The Choir Cape (Spiritual Essence)

Image
What is the CCC Choir? These are a group of people selected by God under the unction of His Grace to minister in His Presence to appease  the angel of the altar.  Every parish has an altar; there is an angel in the altar, the angel of the choir is the *"pacifier"* of the angel of the altar.  Everyone that is chosen by God is given the inspiration to speak and sing in the lines of God to the praise of His Name. When we say qualities; as natural as we may be, we are men. So natural qualities won't be discussed. For you to be a chorister, you must understand *"the Voice of God"* (everyone can talk/speak but you have to ask from God before you speak).  For every Celestial born child; they have the inherent *ability to hear and discern the voice of God.* One of the foremost problems we have amongst CCC children and members alike, is that *we no longer listen to God.* The only hymn given to the choir: _Eyin Akorin ni Ijo Mimo_ but we no longer sing the songs of God, r...

The Betrayer :- Judas Iscariot

Image
The Betrayer; Judas Iscariot  When we think of Judas Iscariot, what are some of the things we think of?    He was one of the 12, apparently he was the treasurer, he treated the money as his own, he was greedy, he willfully betrayed Jesus, he had remorse, he committed suicide.    Out of all these things, I think we all normally go straight to the betrayal, but how many of us look at the man himself. Who was Judas? What do we know about him?  Judas is described in scripture as the son of Simon Iscariot, John 6:71 He spoke of Judas the son of Simon Iscariot, for he, one of the twelve, was going to betray him. "Iscariot” translates as “a man of Kerioth” – a small town in Judea south of Jerusalem. This makes Judas the only non-Galilean among the 12 disciples - the odd man out.    Other than that he would betray Christ, this is about all we really know of Judas, as not much else is written specific detail of him in scripture.   But, whi...

January 4: CALL UPON ME

Image
PSALM 50:15 Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me. Every year holds blessings and burdens, sunshine and showers, dreams and disappointments. We each experience seasons of poverty and plenty, hurt and hope. We can face the “day of trouble” with the absolute confidence that the Lord will deliver us. He loves us with an everlasting love. When struggles loom, they will not destroy us. What Satan intends for our demise, God will use for our good and His glory. He knows how much strength we will need for every battle. If God is for us—and He is!—who can be against us? Every battle boasts a victor, and we claim that title. No enemy can defeat us when God is our Defender. We are champions because of Christ’s work on the Cross. When trouble brews, the Lord encourages us to call on Him. Asking for help is not a shameful thing! Shouting out to God is a sacred privilege, a divine right. Independent of God, we will never be big enough, strong enough, or ca...
